Your adventure begins in Zanzibar in the morning, where you’ll board a small aircraft bound for the Selous Game Reserve, a renowned wildlife haven in Africa. Upon landing at Mtemere airstrip, our experienced driver guide will welcome you, offering an introductory briefing about your day’s itinerary.
Embark on an exhilarating safari drive, venturing through the vast savannah and along picturesque rivers and lakes. This experience offers a unique opportunity to witness a variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants and buffaloes, as well as formidable predators like lions. Selous is also famed for hosting the largest population of African wild dogs, a rare and exciting sight for those fortunate enough to encounter them.
Around midday, you’ll pause for a scenic picnic lunch in a breathtaking spot that offers a panoramic view of the park. Post-lunch, the safari continues as you delve deeper into the African wilderness. Your exploration will conclude around 16:00, at which point you’ll return to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
