What Is the Calamities Fund?
The Calamities Fund is a consumer protection scheme designed to safeguard travellers in the event of extraordinary and unforeseen circumstances.
Travel products published on our website fall under the guarantee of the Calamities Fund, within the limits of its guarantee scheme.

What Does This Guarantee Mean for You?
As a Guest participating in a tour organized by Tabasam Tours and Safaris - KVK (Chamber of Commerce) number 98530089, you are entitled to the following protections:

‍(Part of) your travel sum will be refunded if the Company is unable to carry out the trip, or cannot carry it out in full, due to a calamity.

‍Necessary additional costs will be reimbursed if the Company is required to adjust your trip due to a calamity, or if the Company must repatriate you earlier than planned.

What Qualifies as a Calamity?
A calamity is defined as an abnormal event caused by civil unrest (molest) or a natural disaster.
This includes, but is not limited to, situations such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, epidemics, acts of terrorism, or armed conflict that directly affect your travel destination or route.

Eligibility and Premium
Please note that this guarantee scheme applies exclusively to Dutch citizens.
Guests of other nationalities are unfortunately not covered under this guarantee.
A premium of €2.50 per package booking (Safari and Mountain/Hiking Tours) will be charged to eligible Dutch guests to maintain participation in the Calamities Fund.
